I am Runze Cai (蔡润泽 in Chinese, pronounced roughly as ‘Ruen-Zeh Tsai’), a Ph.D. Student in Computer Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Synteraction Lab (formerly NUS-HCI Lab). Before starting my Ph.D. journey in 2023, I completed my Master of Computing degree at NUS and my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Technology at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).

My research interests focus on Wearable Devices, Augmented Reality (AR), and Human-AI Collaboration with Multimodal Context. My recent work aims to answer the following question:

How can we utilize wearable devices, especially the AR Smart Glasses and AI to help users process, manipulate, and document information in their daily activities with minimal effort and distraction?

I hope that through my efforts, technology can assist us in a seamless and friendly way, making our daily lives more convenient rather than invading them.
